Green Queen or King?

This is Cheerio. Hatched 3/8 ordered pullet from MPC but I think my Green Queen is a Green King. It’s legs appear thicker than the others but then they are also feathered so it’s hard to tell. It’s larger than the others but it’s hard to compare because I have a mixture of 11 different breeds. What do y’all think?

Can I ask how you know? These EE and mixed breeds like this Green Queen seem really hard to sex. Is it the fact that her head and body are all the same color or is it to do with the shape of the feathers?

They certainly are harder to sex.

At around 6 weeks, I'd expect a cockerel to have more of a red comb. Larger as well. This bird's comb looks red at first, but if you really look at it, it's pink.

We can't look at feathers on a bird this young. What you can sometimes see this early are male specific color patches though.

Cheerio is now 12 weeks old and I am pretty certain she is a hen. Wattles have not gotten any larger. No other boy behaviors. Fairly meek personality.
