Green Toes and Surgery

Looks to me like necrotic tissue(black) and i would suspect gangrene. Any blisters? My concern is that wound is not healing and the entire foot is swollen,i do know that with wet gangrene there is a foul smell, but with dry gangrene, often there is no smell and tissue will turn black/shrivel up and possibly fall away from healthy tissue(dry gangrene).

Keep cleaning and debride wound,if wound starts to heal and swelling starts to go down, then you may have infection under control, but if it continues to swell and or spread it is not healing. Does wound look any better to you?

It almost looks like the middle long toe is walling off at the "healthy" tissue point and that one there is shriveling and will come off. Not sure about the prognosis on the other two. I know what you are saying Ten chicks, I think you have something with wet vs. dry gangrene.

I think I'm going to try bandaging each toe separately and with less gauze to get more air into the wound. At this point I'm sure she'll loose one or more toes.
