Hello. My wife, son, and Me are brand new and proud owners of our very first five baby chicks. It has been a goal of mine for about 6 months to have chickens by springtime and it happened. I spent the better part of last month building our coop (pics to come later) and our chicks have been so awesome this past week. I've learned so much already from this sight and can't wait to share our journey with you. Thanks for having us!

Congratulations on your new flock! What breed of chicks do you have?

Good thing you got your coop done, those little chicks grow quickly and will be ready to move out before you know it. Take lots of photos of them as they grow!

Thanks for joining us, it's nice to have you here.

I have one BSL that I know for sure. One is either a Light Brahma or Cochin. Another is either a White Leghorn or Buff Orpington. And I have two "chipmunks" that could be any number of breeds.
