"Greenhorn" question on ring neck pheasants

I've never posted in this section before, but wonder if it's possible to have free-range Chinese ring necks loiter around your property. Or are they so skittish of humans they pretty much va-moose??

They really won't wander around and come back like chickens. If you let them out they'll pretty much be gone.
