Firstly thanks for all the knowledge from just lurking! Recently ‘retired’ to a hobby goat farm. We share a barn with our neighbor who decided to have chickens but did not take care of them. Easy enough to make friends with hens when you are supplying food and water. But the wonderful ness that happened when I let them out of the coop they’d been living in for months had me fall in love with chickens. While I had planned to get the baby ducklings at the feed store I discovered bantam chicks were also available and I have ended up with two cuties. They are finally starting to look like chickens at 2 weeks old. First timer.
