Greetings! I am excited to be a part of BYc!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
- we have had chickens on and off throughout my childhood. But I recently got a few chickens again.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
- I currently have 8 chickens
(3) What breeds do you have?
- I have a lavender Orpington and americanas. There are a few chicks I have that I'm not sure what the breeds are.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
- they're the most fascinating little fur balls. They each have their own personality.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
- I like to garden, this is my second year gardening.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
- I have a very large family, half of them have chickens as well. I don't have any other pets besides chickens.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
- every time I would google any questions about my chickens, BYC always popped up and what better than finding people who are experienced or understand what it's like having chickens.
