Just wanted to introduce myself, I am Frances, mom of 5, living in Georgia. Started out with 5 babies from tractor supply, and over the past 4 years I have moved in to my forever home which is slowly becoming a hobby farm and am now up to 42! I have Buff Orpingtons, Silkies, Cochins, Red Stars, and the OC (original chicken) which happens to be a white Leghorn. Most have names. My husband is tolerant of my chicken obsession, but I am working on infecting my children with the bug :)

Hi Frances, good idea to infect the kids with chicken fever! That will help keep BYC's membership roster growing :)

It's nice to have you here!

G’Day from down under Frances :frow Welcome!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

Personally, I have found the Topic of the Week articles a great resource and a one stop shop for questions which may have already been discussed within the BYC membership group.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
