Hi Everybody!
Just signed up today to become a member and am looking forward to immersing myself in the chicken community! Here's a little bit about me:

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes, I presume I am a newbie. I started with 4 Silkies last November. They have brought so much joy to my life. Looking to learn how to provide the best lives possible for these precious lil creatures!

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 1 (Due to some unfortunate events, in the last 4 months, I have lost 3)

(3) What breeds do you have? White Silkie

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? Google

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Gardening, Enjoying the outdoors, Painting, Herbal Preparation, Bicycling, Swimming, Yoga, Chinese Medicine

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I live with my wonderful boyfriend in Austin, TX with 2 kitty cats. I am an acupuncturist and herbalist.
