Greetings from Alabama

Good Evenin,
My name is Dee. I am a chicken mom of 19. I started out with two Australorps a year ago. Lost one to Merecks. A friend gave me two and one of those got wryneck. I was able to save her. But she isn't the same. I hatched some eggs from her 5 weeks ago and I am seeing her pretty face in those babies. This morning one of them tried to crow. Guess we will see how this unfolds.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

:D I especially encourage you to get quail. And goats. And...
Along with checking out the coop section for building ideas, joining your state thread can help too. There is likely someone nearby that can help you fix the leak now, and/or help with the build later.

:welcome

Have you had a chance to check out the Coops under the Articles tab? There's everything there from plain to fancy. Some day I'd like to try my hand at a hoop coop...those look do-able (for me, with zero carpentry skills). Here's a link to help you go directly to the coops:

Thanks for joining us!

I want it all, but since I have many hats that wear, not sure if it would be fair to the critters. I have three dogs as well. Two are in a fenced back yard and one is inside wirh me. I wish i didn't have to work, then i would have plenty of time to spend with my flock.
