Besides your state thread, when you have 20 posts you can put up a Want ad in the Buy-Sell-Trade forum, and you might also want to try the Guinea forum https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/45/guinea-fowl and the various silkie threads for people who don't check the state threads.

put "Silkie thread," in the search box and you should find a variety of silkie breeders and learn more about the breed at the same time. Once you have 20 posts, you can participate in the buy,sell,trade
forum, which generally has a lot of silkies offered.

Did you ever find any silkie breeders? I'm also in Alabama. I ordered some eggs from Catdance hatched 5 roosters 3 hens.I really need some more hens.
