Welcome. I have 2 barred rocks in my flock of 20. They are excellent layers and were my first hens to lay.

With all 10 being the same, I struggle (at least at this stage) with being able to tell them all apart. I plan to get the color leg bands and stripe some since they only come with 5 or so colors to help aide in telling them apart. AND to tell who 'lays' down on the job first.

My two look so much alike that I had to leg ban one of them and this has not changed as they got older.

You can get numbered leg bands. The numbering is sequential.

I didn't realize, but it makes sense. With how fast they can move, I may still be better served with color ID verse text but I will keep this in mind. Thank you!
