I have been lurking for awhile and reading everything I can absorb. I just wanted to pop in and say 'hi' while I was surfing through the wealth of information here.

New to raising chickens...daughter picked up 6 Red Sex Link (Red Stars?) pullets from TSC a week ago and I've (notice it is me not her) been reading everything I can while we design the coop and run.

I use to live out in Western NC. I graduated from Sylva-Webster in Sylva NC (before they changed the name to Smokey Mountain HS) and lived in Asheville/Hendersonville for awhile before that. Born in Fayetteville and join AF to get away back in the 80's...and yet...here I am right back in NC. Gotta love it.
