I should have read more to see there was a Q&A type template:

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

Both my grandparents grew up on farms in Irwinville, GA and chickens (goats, pigs, sheep, cows) were always underfoot.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

Six pullets

(3) What breeds do you have?

The guy at TSC said they were Red Sex Link but another guy standing there said they were actually Red Stars....not knowing the difference, I just call them Red's.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?

I am a big time researcher and use the net a lot. A LOT. I ran across BYC multiple times while looking up information on coop designs and other questions I was searching for answers to.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

I am a computer programmer, specifically in game engine design. So...I am a MMORPG addict. I worked for Blizzard on WoW and with SoE on EverQuest and love playing console and PC games. I also airbrush (anything that holds still and even things that don't).

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I'm an Air Force vet (1988-1996) and as stated earlier, a computer programmer. My daughter is a graduate of GWU (BA Computer Science) and attended Johns Hopkins (PhD candidate Computer Engineering/Computer Integrated Surgery). My son is a Ssgt. in the ANG (spent 4 years active AF). My daughter and I own a computer consulting/software design business along with a brick & mortar women's boutique. We have 4 Jack Russells: Two males - Rayden & Einstein - Two females - Hailey and Khaleesi (yes we are Game of Thrones fans). We have two domestic short haired cats: Male - Hades and female - Kayla...and now six pullets. We live out in the country south of Burlington, NC. I ran a Siberian Husky rescue from 1997-2005 in Maryland and at one time had 36 Huskies in my care to be adopted out. I also have breed huskies (AKC registered kennel). I like to think of myself as a jack of all trades and master of Jose Cuervo.
