Hi everyone! I live in Ontario, Canada, in a suburban area. I have kept many common and exotic pets over the years. Birds are by far my favourites - I have worked with rehabbing aggressive/frightened parrots and am happily owned by a 3.5 year old African Grey Congo who I hand raised form a chick. Recently I've become especially interested in raising and keeping a couple of hens for fresh eggs (I'm vegetarian but eat eggs). I'm here to learn as much as I can before getting started and hopefully pick up some tips that will make this a smooth endeavor for both me and the potential backyard chickens.
