Hey there everyone, so excited to finally be a member of BYC! Long time lurker, first time poster / member. My name is Stephen and I live in Northeast Kansas. I was never really around chickens very much growing up but have fallen in love with them...theyre so funny and unique, love it. I really had no idea there are so many different breeds. I like to imagine them as little dinosaurs but love them for who they really are.....
I adopted 3 adult birds when I moved back to this area last year. One brown Americana, an Old English Bantam (kind of wondering if that's what she is) and a white silkie. Theyre all hens and get along pretty well. Just recently got 4more birds, one splash polish, a Cochin, a buff and a black silkie....They're still in the brooder but will be ready to go out soon..I really hope theyre all pullets but it's cool either way....look forward to all of the great advice from everyone at byc and glad to be a part of it. Thanks for reading and good luck on all of your chicken adventures!
