Greetings! I live in Colorado and I'm new to backyard chickens. I inherited a couple of hens from our local elementary school which kicked off my entry into the BY Chicken world. I've always wanted to have chickens but never had the opportunity - now I'm happy to have 'my girls' as a part of our family. We have 2 Jubilee Orpingtons (8 months old) and I purchased 2 Lavender Orpingtons (1 year old) from a local person selling them. We LOVE our girls and are happy to be in the back yard chicken community!
I've searched articles in the back yard chicken community that have been SO HELPFUL to me as I started down this path. This is a great community to be a part of.

Glad you joined us. You will find alot of information here and Members that are helpful with their knowledge and experiences. Members are from all Countries which I found interesting. Orpingtons are my favorite and a good breed to start off with. Hope your coop/run is large cause Chicken Math will surprise you
