Hey there!
I've been reading up on chickens for the past several months and getting ready to build a coop/run after the new year to accommodate what I hope will be the start of a fabulous flock of pet chickens. I'm mostly vegetarian, so it's destined to be a "pets with benefits" scenario, with an overall master plan of starting with about 3 chicks and then adding a pair every so often as necessary (to a maximum of 6 hens, as that's what's allowed in my city). I'm definitely a chicken novice, but at least I'm trying to be a well-read novice!
Otherwise, I'm a SF/F writer with a day job, I make my own yogurt, I'm studying druidry, and I spend a lot of time buried under a pair of fabulous, affectionate dogs. So, you know, ordinary.
