Hi all,
Much of the research I've been doing on our current projects has been leading me to discussions here, so I figured it was a sign I should join!
Myself and my boyfriend are attempting our little slice of homesteading in our apartment, I'm a farm girl at heart and can't bear to wait out another year of apartment living to move to a house. Though when that time comes we will rework our current projects to be outdoor ones! Other than windowsill herbs and a garden bed planned for the scrub behind our building we have 6 coturnix quail and are researching and equipping ourselves for a trio of American Chinchilla rabbits soon.
Our quail are 4-4 and 1/2 weeks old currently, we intend to keep them for both eggs and meat once we can find a nice incubator.
We also have pets and each have backgrounds in animal husbandry of varying sorts.
I'm excited for the learning I'm sure we'll receive from these projects and to join the discussions here!
Cheers,
Jessie
