I love Antigua and Guatemala. I rode my motorcycle through Guatemala last year and I ended up spending a few weeks there because I liked it so much despite the violence I kept hearing about. I've always been curious about chicken raising when in Latin America. I have family in Central Mexico who keep birds, some self brooding and some from friends and members of their community but I was wondering if you wanted to get breed specific are there hatcheries there that do mail order like here in the states? Is that a reliable way of getting chicks? How did you come across your birds?

I have no idea how to say 'thread' in spanish....hmmm....how about 'las palabras de uno computador'? No, that's not good enough.

Yo intiendo, pero no me requerdo como se dice todos las palabras in espanol. Necisito practicar.....mucho practicar....

I speak spanish at work, but its all 'court' related so I'm pretty useless translating regular conversation. Oh well...and I don't spell very well, either...
