Hi there!
I'm up here in Idaho. Music teacher by day. I have four 7 week old gals (I hope) who were sold to me as araucana, but are Easter Eggers I'm pretty sure.

I grew up around chickens (barred rocks) but this is my first set of my own.

Hobbies include hiking and geocaching as well as sharing endless memes on social media.

Picture is my gals, too left going clockwise: Lilith, Philomena, Mother Abigail (aka Ma), and Colombo. The photo was a week ago and everyone is snow sporting much fluffier cheeks except Lil.

I hope they're all ladies.

What beautiful birds! And ladies, too, it sounds like. Until I started looking at all these great photos of other folks’ flocks I had no idea chickens are such beautiful creatures. And you are so right, attachment comes easy.
