Hello, my name is Leanne. I am from Iowa. I was raised on a hog farm and have horses all my life. My husband, myself and our two children are on the long path to self sufficiency. We currently have a garden, one horse, two dogs, five chickens and two dairy goats that we've had for two weeks. I found this website while looking for help as to why my goats' milk tastes goaty. I'm hoping to help find some answers!

No, I haven't made it that far yet, but I will check it out! The only time I get online is when our kiddos are napping when I really should be weeding, or doing so etching else constructive! Thanks for the tips!
 
Thanks! I'm excited to be here and meet new people. I sometimes feel isolated out here since we live a "different" lifestyle than everyone else!

I don't know much about goats but, I think there is a difference in taste of milk among the various breeds . I would imagine what they eat is also part of that. I'm sure the goat people will help you out. A lot of the chicken people have them also and frequently post photos and videos of them.
