Greetings,
I've been watching my Husband's Brother & family raise chickens for the last few year (5 to be exact, since we got our 5 acre farm) and enjoyed some of their fresh eggs they raised, and wanted to join in on the adventure... So,I went to the internet and did some research... I found some chicken tractor ideas from my B-I-L & the internet and started building. My daughter came home from school for Easter and insisted we get the chicks that weekend... So, we went and got 6 Barred Rock chicks, so I can't back down now... We're still working on the tractor (anyone else think this weather is kinda crazy this year) but we should have it finished this week(end?). As I (we) was (were) doing research, for my (our) chicken adventure, I kept getting directed to "Backyard Chickens" and finally broke down and joined (can you see the stubborn steak here). We have other hobbies for our little farmlette, including bees (2 hives last year), and interest in earthworm farming and other outdoor adventures - Hunting, Fishing, Learning!!! Hope to learn a lot on here!!!
