(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I first got chickens 5 years ago, starting with a flock of 11 -- Easter Eggers, Barred Rock, Buff Orpington, Rhode Island Red.
I built them an enormous chicken run and coop and have almost tripled it over the years as the flock has expanded. We call it the "Fl'egg Fortress" because it's essentially a fortress w/ a hardware cloth envelope and an electric fence perimeter.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

Easter Eggers, Barred Rock, Buff Orpington, Olive Eggers, Black Laced Red Wyandotte.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Their personalities and fresh eggs.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Probably five years, but I haven't posted before. I'm joining because one of my hens needs help and I'd appreciate guidance if possible.
