I don't think of it as depressing at all. We're all going on a journey some day. When I went to NM, I made all kinds of plans. This is no different. Well okay, it is some different, lol. But still. Plans have to be made.

True. Scott and I had that all done right quick after he was diagnosed with Alzheimers. We have 2 different children picked to handle certain things.

I don't want any of that. Simple cremation asap, toss my ashes out into the forest in front of the house. No monuments, no gravestone, no marker of any kind. They can have a simple service at the church and try to think of a few nice things to say about me if they want. That's it. Don't spend money on me when I'm dead, good grief!

Lowes has doubled their prices on ceiling fan installation. for just a basic change out their around $200.
Or, make a post on Madison gossip FB and hire someone who may or may not know what their doing?

We each have a $10,000 life ins policy that will cover this.

Yep a lot to think on. And wants to be price shopping while you are grieving. My dad’s quotes were 5200 - 7000. This did not include anything to be done with the plot.

@Granny Hatchet. Ask around. I've put ceiling fans in, swapped them out. It's not hard. I bet you know somebody who knows somebody who can do it for you.

So I scored 30 pounds of All Trumps flour, It's high gluten which is why bread likes it so well. I keep it for baking my bread recipe exclusively and use just all purpose flour for all other baking.

Has anybody heard anything from @Rambling Iris?

Weren't they going somewhere for a procedure or something?

You tell 'em, Granny! Words of Affirmation, IMO, are part of everybody's Love Language vocabulary, even if not their primary one. Critical words hurt, and if constant, can be considered a form of mental and emotional abuse. It's the main reason I finally left DH#1, though I had put up with it for over 20 years.

Yeah, I get it, but i depend on him so much since my memory sucks.
