Hello all! I'm also new to chicken raising. I currently have 25 cornish cross and 6 barred rocks. Having lots of fun watching these chicks grow everyday! They are currently almost 5 weeks old. My husband and 6 yr old son are enjoying this chicken adventure just as much as I am. My son has earned the nickname, "Chicken Little" as he loves to rush out to the coop everyday after school to feed/water the girls. Can't seem to get our german shepherd to understand they are NOT chew toys...but he's learning! Great site, have been visiting here for months in prep of the chickens -- have found TONS of great info! Excited to have finally joined!
