Although I'm not fancy to chickens, birds have dominated my life for nearly 50 years, and as my user name implies, a fanatic about turkeys. I've raised turkeys and numerous varieties of pheasants over the last 12 years and have found this website useful and entertaining. Nice to know there are so many others out there as addicted to birds as I am! Located on Marylands Eastern Shore, I'm always open to hearing from fellow turkey/pheasant breeders.

Presently, I have a flock consisting of 30 Eastern Wilds (yes I have state issued permit ), 5 Narragansett's, 1 Royal Palm, 2 Standard Bronze, 4 Merriam/Rio hybrids, several ringneck and versicolor pheasants ,Red, Yellow Goldens and Amherst. All these add up to a big feed bill!

Personally, I'm a professional wildlife artist (www.wjgoebel.com) who is married 20 years to a wonderful woman who puts up with all my crazy hobbies. My two daughters think all this is just the norm.

Looking forward to a bird- filled 2010!

Hi Wil,
welcome-byc.gif
from South Carolina! Your wildlife art is beautiful. I am very partial to "Working the Base - Pileated Woodpecker". Lovely piece. We are a tiny wildlife habitat, and the Pileated have just begun nesting here, I am quite fond of them. They are happy here, despite the highway traffic and 35 chickens!

Edited for abysmal typing.
