My flock of Cinnamon Queens is down to 2 hens thanks to fox & hawks. Im wondering if it's ok to introduce new hens & more importantly a rooster to my 2 yr old hens.

Roosters are made for the hens protection, the rooster might chase the hens for a bit, and "dance" to them. My rooster, will run full blast when he hears a hen laying an egg, or distress. My other rooster in the other pen was always protective, he'd chase out the other "unknown" hens.

I've seen some post of peoples roosters attacking a raccoon/other predator, while they try getting a hen.

Welcome to BYC. Be careful introducing new birds to an existing flock. You dont know what the new birds might have, quarantine new birds away from your flock for at least 4-6 weeks. Think biosecurity.
