Hi All,
We are a family of 7 and currently have 2 dogs, too many kitties, AND 41 hens(10 RIR,31 Highland Browns) in rural NE MO.! We started out with 12 RIR that had come from a brooding house, they are such sweet girls and are looking so much better now that their feathers are filling out on their necks and head again. My husband recovered from building our 8x12 coop plus 50' run and decided we should get more and sell the eggs. Enter 31 fat aggressive production hens! Today we finished coop # 2 since they just aren't ready to get along. We've only had chickens for around a month now and are very thankful for all the help this site has given us. Learning lots, you all are soo smart and very gracious to share with Newbies like myself!
While exploring this site I've really enjoyed the camaraderie among you and look forward to joining in on the fun now that I've FINALLY joined. This site is just awesome!
