I am one excited Southern girl.... I have my very first little "flock" of chicks. Growing up, I spent summers with my grandparents on the farm and had a wonderful time taking care of the animals. One chicken had three legs and we named him Charlie, until he began laying double yolk eggs.. then he became Charlene.
I already have a coop in the back yard and one laying hen that I inherited from a neighbor who had to move. This will be the first time for me to raise chicks from "scratch" as they say.
I am learning so much from this website! I look forward to reading about new things and look forward to "meeting" you all. t.
