Hi, my name is Benjamin Spence (Ben, please 
), and I am the proud daddy of four lovely hens. This is my first go at raising backyard chickens, and this site has been an enormous help to me the past few months, even though I am only now signing up as a member. Of course, necessity drove me to becoming an active participant in the forums, as I've noticed that one of my hens is looking like she's being eaten alive! I posted in what I hope was the correct forum (Raising Backyard Chickens -> Emergencies/Disease/ etc)..
I look forward to getting to know you all, and sharing some awesome chicken-ness with the same! This has been a really rewarding experience for me and my family, and we appreciate everyone's kind words and advice
