Hello, y'all. I live in rural northwest Arkansas. Fairly new to chickens (this will be my 2nd year with them.) I've got a good dozen Buff Orpington hens and a rooster. I'll probably be getting more Orpingtons this year, perhaps with some Barred Rocks and a handful of guinea keets. Looking forward to some advice from those who have been there and done that before me.

Welcome to BYC. Click on 'The Learning Center' located at the top of the page. Then study the forums and question away.

You might like to chat with other members in Arkansas. You can find your state thread with this link:

And in case you haven't found it yet, there's a forum for guinea fowl here:

Good luck with the new additions to your flock!

Hi and welcome to BYC - great to have you onboard. It seems that chicken maths has caught up with you - great stuff!

I hope that as well as learning the odd bits here and there, you will also have a little time to share your experience with other members.

All the best
