hello fellow chicken lovers.
my name is pete and my wife and i are looking to build a coop and get a few hens for eggs.
this will be a clandestine operation because we have under the allowed acreage according to zoning.
bah! i do have some expeirience with chickens, but this will be the first coop i have built and my first hens.
i have spoken to my neighbors and they are all fine with the idea. we have alot of projects going on at home now so i'll most likely build
the coop later in the summer and plan on getting a few chicks next spring. i'm pretty sure i want rhode island reds, my family in vermont has them
and they are really nice birds, but there's plenty of time to decide on that.
this site has a wealth of knowedge. i'm so glad i found it.
i'm off to read more here.
