Hi all!, I'm James. (20 Years Old, young I know)

Me and My mom have been talking for a while about wanting to raise chickens so I decided to go online and start doing some research and I came across this site, and so far it seems wonderful.

Ok, so some of our major concerns are feed costs, what type of coop to buy/build, the amount of noise and odor they'll produce and of course what breed(s) to get. (I did a quick search and was amazed by how many are out there)

We hope to have around 5ish? Maybe more if its possible. Any answers to my questions and/or advice would be very appreciated!

I can't think of anything else to ask, so that'll be all for now.

At the top of the page, in the center, there is a link to the Learning Center. Between that and the FAQs there is a wealth of information.

Your questions are so broad right now that trying to answer them would be akin to writing a novel. Do some reading and refine your questions, be happy to respond!

ETA, first things first - check local ordinances and regulations, as well as any neighborhood restrictions, to make sure they'll be legal.
