welcome to BYC / From a fellow Oregonian! i found healthy lace wing wyendottes, a week old at coastal farm in Gresham, for $3.50. That store seems to have large variety of ducklings too.. tho i'd rather pick from craig's list. and fellow farmers, they seem picked over in my area.. i wanted to start my flock healthy & young.. best kat
 
:) Happy to be here, thanks for the heads up NaniChicken! I live in the Rogue Valley, and Wyandottes are certainly not everywhere so I greatly appreciate you letting me know about Coastal Farm. I do not at all mind travelling and will be checking craigslist and classifieds allk over the place :)

I will be ordering 5000 mealworms soon, and begin that wriggly adventure getting a colony started before I get my chicks :)
