Yes, I have always wanted to have a few chickens roaming in the yard. I Bought a coop 2 years ago but just received my first peeps last weekend.

6 peeps

3 Plymouth rocks and 3 Amberlinks
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
The fresh eggs of course

Reading, crocheting, cooking, gardening

I found BYC when I did a google search for backyard yard chickens last night, read a few articles and decided to join this morning to get helpful information and advice on this new hobby of mine.
