Just checking in. I mostly read and learn. I got this RIR about 4 weeks ago. It's 16 weeks now.

Thank you. This bird was sold to us as a Heritage/Production cockerel. The fellow has been working with RIR for 30 years. To me, an untrained eye, it is very difficult to tell the gender of the youngsters. The behavior with other younger birds suggests cockerel but this bird is very quiet. I guess I'm waiting for crowing or eggs!
I'm going to attach a few more cute pics with a little flock of Domickers.
 
Here are 5 little Dominiques at 4 1/2 weeks old. 3 cockerels and 2 pullets. The RIR keeps them sorted, treating the pullets quite gently and giving the cockerels a peck on the head when they start cutting up. I've been enjoying watching them today. I really like the demeanor of the Dominickers so far.
