Hello everyone! I am new to raising chickens but not to farm & garden. I managed a 4 acre organic vegetable farm for 3 years and have a pretty good size backyard garden.

I currently have (6) 4-week old chicks from a local feed store, but at least one is a rooster that I can’t keep for long.

***Still guessing!*** but I believe I have the following
1. RIR rooster 95% sure
2. RIR hen
3. Buff Brahma
4. Black Australorp? Possibly a roo
5. Black copper marans
6. Mystery white chicken with grayish yellow legs. Picture below and would appreciate anyone who can identify her!

When it comes to chickens, I am not much of a pet chicken person but I am excited about
Fresh Eggs and a better compost pile. My grandparents raised chickens when I my grandpa was alive and I loved the eggs.

This is KeKe below with the white feathers, she’s 4 weeks. I thought she was a leghorn but her leg color doesn’t seem right for that. She’s very, very fast and flighty, but curious. Velvet the australorp is behind her, but I’m beginning to suspect that they may be a roo…we will see!
