Hello! My name is Danielle and I am in San Joaquin County California. I am very excited to get my chickens, I am a newbie. I don't have any yet, but...soon! I'm going to start with about 15 chickens, then later I'll get ducks and geese too. I love this site!

I am in Santa Barbara county, I too started with just a couple (12) of chickens......... now I have 31 layers, 1 rooster, 25 3-4 week old chicks and 20 Ducks!!!!!!

Do you have a coop ready?

DH said he'd dig me out a big pond (we have about 5 acres to play with) for when we eventually have ducks and geese. Hopefully my chicks will let the ducks bunk with them, do geese need to be inside at night?
