(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am a new chicken owner, although my husband grew up on a small farm in Roy, WA with all the fixin's.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have four chicks as of yesterday and they are @ 2 weeks old.
(3) What breeds do you have?
I have 1 Speckled Sussex, 1 each of Gold and Silver Laced Wyandotte and a Black Jersey Giant ( I hope the chicken door is big enough).
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I think through a search for chicken coops...
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I am a part- time bellydancer and drummer.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm married almost 17 years, self-employed and have 1 Umbrella Cockatoo, 3 cats, 1 old dog and a man-child. We are on the organic journey ( cha-ching!). We are also trying to naturalize our backyard with native plants. Every year it seems we're attracting a better variety of birds (yay). The way our lot is positioned, we don't have great garden area but the salad fixin's seem to grow well enough...and there's blueberries and strawberries....and a volunteer catnip....and a Gravenstein.
