Hi, I am new here and the reason I registered is because I have a chicken with problems. I have had a number of Sussex and Plymouth Rock chickens since August, twelve in total and they run around freely in a large garden. At night they are inside in a coop.
There are also 6 dogs running around. There is a 2 meter high wall around the garden so everything is safe. I have not experienced the worst heat with the chickens yet but there is a lot of shade from the trees so I hope they will not suffer too much. experienced

Welcome to BYC. It gets hot and very humid where I live. Ensure your chickens have plenty of fresh water to drink and they will be fine.
Thankfully you have shade trees as well.

Sussex and Plymouth Rocks are delightful breeds. I've had both survive triple-digit temperatures and high humidity during summers in Iowa, so best of luck with yours! Shade and constant access to clean water will help them cope.
