Hello,
I read your post tonight and am answering hoping you and my Wife can talk with each other. My Wife is the chicken lover, I just go along with the program. (But they are kind of cool) We've had chickens for only a couple years now, so, we're fairly new at it. My Wife knows all the breeds and other particulars that elude me. All I know is their names.

I don't know what part of town you live in, but we use Green's Feed for all our animal and poultry needs. Just a few months ago we bought four new chicks (one day old) from them. This our first experience starting from scratch. The other chickens were mostly a rescue operation.

I also noticed you have Mastiffs. A good friend of mine in Georgia raises, sells, and shows Mastiffs. She's very knowledgeable on the breed and if you wanted I could try to get you two together for any information you might want or need. Haven't had communication for quite a few years, so, I'm guessing she's still in the same place.

So, good luck on your venture and hope to hear back from you.

Ron R.
My Wife's name is Cyndie.

Hello Fellow Renoite! I live in south Reno, toward the lower part of Arrowcreek and Zolezzi. I am starting chickens as soon as I am done studying the weather/light patterns of my backyard. How are your chickens going so far? How have the winters been on them? Wishing you a great week!

Jessica, South Reno

I loved your letter, it was right up my alley as we seem to enjoy and have similar interests. I happen to have recently acquired quite a few clothes for children of various sizes and would be happy to give those to you if your interested.
Kind of funny coincidence as those clothes are intended for a friends daughter, though not all as quite a few are boys clothes.
Unfortunately while I was visiting him yesterday, my dog/puppy killed the last chicken which was considered family pet to Serenity his daughter.
So long story short I'm looking to replace the chicken perhaps with a few, do you have any suggestions?
The clothes are very nice brand new practically, lots for boys, I have no kids myself so sizes I'm not sure though I think they would be right for your boys.
I've never responded to anything such as this previously so I'm not sure how to contact you, I don't want to leave my number in this letter not sure if its for everyone to read or not, I'll periodically check for a response thru this forum.
Thank you Vivian

We are neighbors!!! And I also have two 'monster' girls, 5 and 3! Their birthdays are in June/July.

We just got five young hens, and getting two or three more this weekend. We have five Barred rocks, and our newbies are going to be Ameracaunas.

We actually live out in Lemmon Valley, and we are so excited to be building our coop this weekend, and generally delving deeper into homesteading. (Which is my dream!)

Hi Nikki, my name is Regina. I live here in Reno as well. I just purchased 24 hatching eggs polish frizzle, i only had 8 hatch. 2 bwc, 3 buffs, 1 splash, 2 black. They are a week old tomorrow. I see you have polish chicens too. Next year I want to start breeding my frizzles so maybe we could hook our birds up and see what we get.
