(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Started 2004, Murry McMurray Ornamentals and local ag stores
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
32
(3) What breeds do you have?
mix of brown/colored layers and a few white layers
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
obviously the eggs, but love the varied personalities of the girls and the ever changing hierarchy
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
gardening, camping, biking, hunting, computers, cooking for homeless
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
married with a son in college. I'm a degreed horticulturist (The OSU), 20 years in the GH industry, now a Maintenance Logistician for gov contractor.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Long long ago I believe I was a member but don't recall the email I used. I have more time now to visit the posts.
