Hi! I've actually been a member for several weeks around here, but I just now found this thread! lol

So I'll introduce myself:

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes, I'm brand new! Three families that I know have chickens, but this is the first time my family has tried it.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I'll be getting 6 on Sunday.

(3) What breeds do you have?
They'll all be Buff Orps.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Web searching, desperate to find as much information I could about chickens. I found the right place!

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Photography, cooking, gardening and piano

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm the second of 6 siblings, I have wonderful parents, 4 dogs, 1 cat and a fish. I love photography (so expect plenty of shots of my babies to pop up

I live in Louisiana. I am the youngest of 4 kids. I am a wife and mother to 4 children myself. We have a doxie, 3 barred rocks, 4 black stars, 7 red stars, 1 drake rouen, 2 drake khaki campbells, 5 hens rouens and khaki campbells, donkey that will be yr old in may, 5 Nigerian Dwarf goats, 2 LaMancha goats and a Peacock.
I have goat in milk.

I still want more ducks, rabbits, turkeys and eventually cows and two mules

We got started with chickens, then a peacock and it grew from there! LOL!

I like photography too, i scrapbook when I have time, 4 wheeler riding, Sunday School teacher, Music teacher at church, camping. Oh cooking with new reciepes

I've been keepin chickens for a couple or three years. I got my first chickens in 4H in the mid 80's and didn't get back in to them to a while ago.

Saltwater reef and fish aquariums, Hunting, fishing, raising other critters

I have a wife, 11 year old duaghter, 7 month old whitetail deer doe named BamBam, three nanny goats, pony, and donkey
