I have four bantam per hens. Two are sisters -buff hens, one is a white Japanese and the other is a Dutch fluffy cheek. They're just over a year old and up till now have been no problem. One of the buff hens went broody for over six weeks. I kept taking her out of the nest box but she'd sneak back in again. Then she just got over it but the Dutch fluffy cheek pecks her away from the food and just seems to bully her so she goes back in the nest box for most of the day. Her sister sits in there with her so I leave the lid off the nest box so they get sunlight and breeze, but how do I stop this bullying? They are kept in an aviary 12' long x 6' side and 6' high do they have plenty of room. They have a spacious coop.

Welcome to BYC.
:yesss: We are glad you joined this flock!
Jump right in and make yourself at home.

Do you have a dog cage/crate you can put inside the coop to jail the bully in for a while?

Hello and welcome to BYC. I hope that you enjoy your time here. In addition to the advice given by Kiki I would take a look at this link for future broody episodes - Breaking a broody hen

This is a useful link to take a look at - “How to...” guides. You may wish to consider including your location (using the guide in the link above). You can use this link to contact members in your area - UK

Hello @Jamited. :welcome I have been having broody issues recently and I'm using my settling cage for the pigeons to put them in. It's in the run so they are with the rest. Normally two days and they want out! It could be used for a timeout cage for a bully hen too. If your broody has been mostly missing for the past 6 weeks then she will have to reestablish her place in the pecking order. If this other hen doesn't leave her alone, separate her for a day and see how she is. If no change separate her for another say. Eventually she will learn her place....hopefully!
