(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We just moved out into the country and got our first chickens and ducks a few months ago, so we are newbies. My grandmother had chickens when I was growing up, but this is my first adventure.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 5 chickens and two Pekin ducks.
(3) What breeds do you have?
4 of the girls are Ameraucanas and 1 is a Cochin.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love how goofy their personalities are and how super affectionate they are!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love gardening, the outdoors, drawing, and making art projects.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am a graphic designer by day, and my husband and I also have a basenji dog.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
BYC seems to be the place I end up when looking for answers. I figured it was high time I joined up
