I am a new member from Wisconsin. I have had chickens for a year now but helped with them when I was young too. I have 13 laying hens and 2 roosters. Soon to be 1 rooster. They got along great when they were little but are quite a pair to watch. We love the eggs and are trying to hatch our own. Not so successful.

Welcome to BYC. What breeds do you have? Buff orps, cochins and silkies (above all) tend to go broody often and would hatch eggs put under them.
