Hello all, i am new to owning chickens. I recently came across two chicks after my daughters 2nd birthday party, when my wife's uncle "bought chicks for the kids to play with" and had no plans to keep them. So naturally, i decided to take them in. I have had them since march 18, so they are roughly 6 or 7 weeks old. Any chance you guys can tell me what species they are or any tips would be greatly appreciated!
These are my now feathery babies XD I take them in when it gets cold, i live in colorado so recently it seems to be at least once a week.... XD wake up every morning around 6 and feed them warm oats before i go to work... Spoiled i know....

Welcome to Backyard chickens. I can't be certain of their breed, gender. Please post photos at "what breed or gender is this," the folks there will sort them out.

They will do a lot better eating chick feed.
