My name is Debra and live in Tennessee. I have been keeping chickens for a while now, I guess 20 years anyway. I used to only have toppys, a breed my friend gave me, but now i have a mix: some marans, buffs, barred rock, delawares and two buckeyes. I have about 35 in all. My favorite thing is to have the hens hatch their babies. I love to watch them. I have worked with Boston Terrier rescue and also keep dogs. Semi retired and keeping this property, along with work, keeps me hopping. I have came to BYC many times for information and since a new issue has popped up, saw tonight I could join too.

Thank you! My old breed of chickens, I never had problems with. But it seems to new to me breeds have about made me pull my hair out. Seems there is always something new, some new hurdle. But I do enjoy a challenge and love my girls.
