Hello everyone, my name is Tom, and I'm process control engineer working at Telematic Controls. I've been interested in domestic farming for some time, but not totally sure where to start. I have the land, and some savings ready to invest so what is the next step? Thanks!

Signed Tom

So glad you could join our community!

Definitely stop by our learning center. Lots of good articles on getting started with chickens, raising the chicks, building the coop, and keeping your adult flock happy, healthy and safe from predators...https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center

Good luck and if you have any questions along the way, feel free to ask. Welcome to our flock!

Thanks for the warm reception and great links everyone! I'm confident that I've found the right community to start my new hobby :)
