I am from Oregon. I have 16 chickens(different breeds), 8 muscovy ducks and 2 grey saddleback pomeranian geese. I'm new to the raising muscovy ducks and pomeranian geese but I've had chickens before. They all have different personalities. My geese will be 3 months old on the 21st. My ducks will be 4 months on the 20th. All of the birds LOVE WATERMELON! The geese are so funny and quite the characters. I have raised them since they were 2 days old. I'm "mother goose" they follow me around everywhere. They are my babies. Besides our large quantity of birds, we also have 3 dogs and 2 cats. I found BYC from Google searching "at what age do pomeranian geese start breeding".
I'm hoping there are some knowledgeable people on here to help with my questions. A few questions for now:
1) What age do pomeranian geese start breeding/ mating.
2) How do I know the sex of my geese(without checking genitals) I think I have a male and female.
3) At what age to muscovy ducks start breeding/ mating?(pretty sure we have 4 females & 4 males)
4) My geese, 1 has a single pounch, the other has a double pounch. Is this normal?
